'Bleak House' adapted by Andrew Davies
17 February 2006Last weekend we watched the whole of the BBC TV dramatisation of Bleak House. Given that the innovative aspect was that it was broadcast in bite-sized 30 minute episodes I realise we might have been missing the point by watching all 8 hours of it over a couple of days but it was wonderful. You so rarely get a TV serial long enough for real character development – so that you end up thinking of the characters as themselves rather than as the famous actors. Really enjoyed it.
